FasTrak Carpool and Vanpool Information
Carpoolers and Vanpoolers with FasTrak save time, money and earn incentives
As of July 1, 2010, carpoolers and vanpoolers are charged a discounted toll rate of $2.50 on all state-owned bridges and $3.00 on the Golden Gate Bridge during the peak periods and must pay using a valid FasTrak toll tag. On the state-owned bridges, carpoolers and vanpoolers must use a dedicated carpool lane and drive non-stop. At the Golden Gate Bridge, carpoolers and vanpoolers must stop in a staffed lane for toll collector verification.
Carpoolers and vanpoolers can also earn special rewards and incentives such as gift cards from local retailers, grocers and gas cards! Register with the 511 RideMatch Service to qualify and receive updates on future promotions.
Plus, as an added incentive, qualifying vanpools with 11 to 15 passengers, and registered with 511 Rideshare, can cross the bridges toll-free. Getting started is easy. For more information and how to qualify, click here or call 511, say "Rideshare" and ask to speak with a vanpool consultant.
The 511 RideMatch Service is a Web-based system that helps you find carpool and vanpool partners. Plus, you can earn rewards for carpooling. It's fast, simple and easy.
